This Week in the Butte
As the sun rose over Mt. Crested Butte friends and family gathered to witness the great eclipse of 2017. While the moon only covered 89% of the sun, the air temperature dropped and the aspens cast beautiful crescent shapes. It was a memorable day and we hope you continue to make more memories with your loved ones this week in the Butt!
New for Summer 2017, we are proud to host a weekly farmers market on Thursdays throughout the summer. Don’t miss this opportunity to indulge in local mountain produce and charm! Crested Butte Mountain Resort is committed to supporting the local community including neighborhood farms and small businesses. Vendors from across the region will offer a variety of artisan items, produce and specialty products. Afterwards, head to one of the mountain restaurants for market inspired food and drink specials.

Start at the Museum for apps and your commemorative pint glass which you can then take for a free drink at each of the 3 participating bars. A local historian will be at each bar to entertain and edify you about the history of the bars.
Twilight Riding and Biking | August 25
Twilight Hours are a great time to be exploring the resort. With unlimited chairlift rides on the Red Lady for just $8 from 4:30 - 7 pm every Wednesday and Friday!
KBUT is proud to announce the 2017 the KBUT Kampout! In its third year, the Kampout is the premiere 2-day music festival in the Gunnison Valley. This year's Kampout will be held Friday and Saturday, August 25 and 26, 2017.
Held at the I-Bar Ranch in Gunnison, there will be a diverse line-up featuring more than a dozen bands, and late night DJs. Friday night's headliner will be Shakedown Street, the longest running Grateful tribute band and Saturday night will be Gunnison Valley’s popular Mama’s Cookin.'
CBMR is bringing back the Gravity Slave Mountain Bike Race in the form of a Dual Slalom on Saturday, August 26. This race will take place at the base of the Peachtree Lift and will feature some intense competition. The Dual Slalom is perfect for cross country and downhill riders alike, so bring a friend and compete head-to-head. First, riders are timed on the downhill timing system for seeding. Once they are seeded, they compete in a bracket style format. Head to Butte 66 after the race for the awards party with free raffle prizes and complimentary beer from Odell Brewing Co.
